Object 6 [of 66] – Straight Razor Julia first used an old fashioned straight razor, sharpened with a leather strap, to make the slashes on the top of French bread. Later, she would simply use a razor blade. French bakers nowadays use a small razor inserted in a handle, a tool called a <i>lame</i>.
