Dedication:
The meticulously detailed descriptions of the Peters prints are largely the work of the late Anne Marie Serio (1941-2002). Her long professional involvement with museum documentation standards and her advocacy on behalf of collections represent an important legacy for the Museum. Together with Debbie Schaefer-Jacobs of Collections Documentation Services, Anne spent many hours completing the database with careful inclusion of information about the prints that future users of the catalog might want to retrieve. Access to the rich and complex visual expression of 19th-century culture has been greatly enhanced by their work.
