Adam Whitehurst recently graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut with a B.A. in History.  He intends to pursue a career teaching American history and culture. Adam is currently having a blast working on the Smithsonian’s well-known Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) initiative, a museum-initiated worldwide promotion of jazz each April.  He enjoys taking part in the planning process, contacting potential artists and venues, and spearheading a mobile app project! He loves to attend intern & fellow events that are frequently held around the Smithsonian, as well as after-hours museum concerts.  Overall, Adam is having an amazing experience and he considers himself extremely lucky to be able to work in an environment that allows him to demonstrate his passion for jazz music and history.
