Caitlin is a recent graduate of Cornell University, where she received a B.A. in Anthropology and Gender Studies. She is extremely happy to be at NMAH in the Office of Public Programs. Through this internship, she hopes to gain a better understanding of the way museum programming operates, as well as pursue more generally her interests of public education and social engagement in museums. Right now Caitlin is assisting with work on the Museum’s new strategic plan, and she is providing support for upcoming program initiatives such as the Museum’s Under Five space, food-related programming, and the 2013 National Youth Summit. So far, her internship has allowed her to interact with many of the wonderful people who are responsible for the daily workings and public presence of NMAH, and she is grateful for this amazing opportunity.
