Role in Museum: 

Kate Steir is the education officer for the National Numismatic Collection. She designs and implements a range of educational programming intended to inspire the next generation of numismatists and to encourage visitors to view currency as a source for historical inquiry.

Projects: 
  • Designs eductional activities for the Numismatics Discovery Carts
  • Develops and facilitates innovative public programs highlighting objects from the National Numismatic Collection
  • Researches copyright and anti-counterfeiting restrictions for currency reproductions made for educational purposes
