Role in Museum: 

Sherri leads the museum's digital collections and data initiatives, to provide and improve public access to its 1.8 million artifacts. She oversees the museum's collection information system, digital asset management workflow, and born-digital collecting projects. Working with staff across the museum and in partnership with technologists across the Smithsonian, she is helping ensure that the institution’s treasures are accessible to people around the world.

Projects: 

Prior to joining NMAH, Sherri worked for nine years at the California Digital Library, where she played a key role in defining and evolving online access to historical collections from hundreds of cultural heritage institutions statewide.
