Mary Kathryn (Katie) Macko

Role in Museum: 

Katie brings her five+ years of experience producing educational programs at the National Museum of American History to the Smithsonian Food History Team (including the Food History Weekend and the American History (After Hours) programs), Smithsonian Jazz team and the America Now! team. As a program producer, she coordinates and executes a multitude of programs designed to explore American History and inspire curiosity through food, music and civic engagement.  

Previously, Katie was a member of the Daily Programs team at the museum, creating hands on educational activities for daily visitors to the museum.
