John Rogers is Executive Vice President and Secretary of the Board at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Rogers is a member of the Management Committee and Chairman of the Goldman Sachs Foundation and Goldman Sachs Gives. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Rogers was a senior fellow at the Baker Institute; Undersecretary of State for Management for the U.S. Department of State; Executive Vice President of the Oliver Carr Co.; Assistant Secretary of the Treasury and Assistant to the President of the United States for Management and Administration. Active in historical preservation, he served as a member and Chairman of the President's Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. He has received awards for his restoration work, including the Presidential Citizens Medal, the Alexander Hamilton Award and the State Department's Distinguished Service Medal. Mr. Rogers served as Chairman of the Board for the National Museum of American History from 2008-2012. Mr. Rogers formerly served on the Campaign Leadership Committee at Rice University, and is a former member of the National Building Museum and the U.S. Capitol Historic Society. He lives in Washington, DC.
