Nov. 4th Thursday.

Remained home yesterday and today with gout attack in arch of left foot

Nov. 5th friday.

At store by carriage, sent for lunch yesterday and today, very busy all day. Sent Bertha Müller $1000. from Kreischer Estate

Nov. 6, sat.

Saw Wm. C. Banning arranged about Trusteeship as to new Oakes business with him, purchase of Sandford point postponed one week at their request. My wife + daughter are at Steinhäusers Brooklyn

Remain home rested all day. Louisa A. St. Riekchen and both daughters with us all day. Fradel died today

Nov. 8. Mond.

Walk to and from store, in business all day Cotterill argues Benzing case, which is sought to be forced to trial before Judge Bookstaver, and Wingate argues motion to change trial of Lehr case to Queens County before Judge Van Brunt, am home in ev'g working

Novbr 9th Tuesday.

Cold weather but clear, work all day at store and walk home, am nearly well again in health. Business is very good. Sixtus C. Kapff brings me $600.00/100 loaned to Kryssing + Striebeck some time ago on their lease, I give Kapff the $5. Int. George + ladies to Theatre, I to L.K. via 40th str. Am very busy all eve'g, home after 12 oc'clock. St + H. Pt. R.R. Meeting at 4 PM

Novbr. 10th Wed.

Am almost well + wearing ordinary gaiters Miß Pinner dismissed from American Opera for alleged incompetency. In afternoon down town with Wingate fix up resolution and petition Bd of Aldermen to allow any power except steam locomotive power, to be handed in tonight, by St + H. Point RR. With wife George + Paula at Walküre, Niemann is magnificent
