The Diary

Go down several miles beyond Fort Richmond. Go to St. Isl. Dock & take in Water, at abt 3 P.M. start up the Bay, sailing about, visiting the Arcona, land at 5½ P.M. very jolly. Take supper home. At L.K. in eve. start for home 11½ P.M. in 3^d Ave Car, stop at 35^th street.

At 2. P.M. with wife & Jette start with Yacht from Pier 1. N.R. Mike, the engineer while shoving off the boat loses his balance, clings to Camden & Amboy boat & is carried off, but jumps off and swims to our boat. We then have a delightful sail down the bay, through the Kill van Kull to Kreischers, where we lay up. It commences to rain heavily we sleep at Kreischers, next morning fine weather

In the morning, we run the Yacht high and dry on the sand with the flood tide, for the purpose of having her bottom cleaned and painted. Take dinner at Kreischers and with the 3 P.M. train, Jette, wife & I proceed home, reach there at 5 3/4 P.M. Start at 7 P.M. from house, Committee meeting at German Savings Bank. Meet Fernbach & Kendall, approve of new plans & Mason specifications with as few alterations Go home with Wallach at 11½ P.M.

Warm day. Am at Reference, which is adjourned until tomorrow at 12. I agreeing to bring the Vouchers, Judge Gilberts order +c +c with me. Cotterill absent, Mr. Scribner appearing for Mr. Robinson. Take dinner with Tretbar at Gross, Walk up home with him. Very warm day. Go with wife to Fulton market eat Oysters

With Georgie at L.K. at noon. Afternoon at Natatorium. In eveg. with wife at Winkens, eat Cheese +c. Albert out with Yacht Kreischer family around Tottenville & Prince Bay
