Dave Horn & Burkard that the roof of our key making factory was nearly blown off, Home in evg working

March 15th Thursd.

At last mails begin to arrive again, and our R.R. are using sleighs, have awful trouble with the Kaiser Wilhelm arrangements, work in evg til 12 oclock wife + Frl. being at “Kean” by Barnay

March 16th friday.

Delegates of Emperor festival divide tickets at my office. Call on John Bigelow to deliver Oration in english, he promises to consider.

March 17th sat.

St. Patrick’s day, lovely weather although large mounds of snow are piled up on the grounds my R.R. are again in full running condition Meeting of Creditors of F. Grote, I preside pitch heavily into Grote & Kapp, finally it is resolved as the sense of the Meeting to allow the Creditors to go on under Chas. H. Steinway, Receiver for a while. In ev’g at Masken Kränzchen of L.K. splendid, home at 4 AM

March 18th Sunday,

Lovely day. Yesterday John Bigelow accepted, Bancroft from Washington and Andrew D. White from N. Orleans decline worked at store in forenoon. Rehearsal of Memorial festival at St. Hall + session of delegates. Work home in ev’g, Fritz & H. Z. call

March 19th Monday,

very busy with Memorial matters, at Bank in afternoon. At Ludwig Barnay “King Lear, Ac. of Music with wife and Frl. Fine performance

At L.K. in evg, preside, then drive to Schirmers, PolterAbend of Fanny Schirmer & Dr. Otto get home at 2.30 A.M. Become acqt with Mrs. Korbay Attended funeral of Mrs Paul Loeser at 324 East 18th street
