Programs and Audience Development

The Programs and Audience Development team builds Museum audiences by creating unique, engaging, and relevant content and connecting them with the complexity of American history through a variety of platforms. Key programs include the American History (After Hours) series, the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, Facebook live and tweet up events, as well as the History Film Forum and the Food History Weekend.

The team also provides museum-wide guidance for best-practices in program production and outreach, manages the museum’s program calendar, newsletters and social media outlets.
