An update to my earlier comment today. Thomas A. Snider's first wife was Susan M. McGlothlin, of Cincinnati. They were married by the Rev. Chas. A. Dickey in Philadelphia on June 19, 1876. She passed away at her home on Lorraine Avenue in Clifton, a suburb of Cincinnati, on March 19, 1894, Her husband subsequently married Mary W. Baldwin. The request by Tekla refers to Susan Snider, not to Mary W. Snider. This research was done via which enabled me to access the Cincinnati Enquirer. Andrew Smith's book has a few errors in it - Snider was in the baking business before he got into the preserve business.
