I was employed by Friden, Inc. 1962 - 1969, and serviced the central and southern areas of NY from the Friden office in Binghamton, NY. IBM purchased several of the Friden 132 electronic calculators for their Space Guidance Center located in Owego, NY. They were amazed at the performance of the 132 and sheepishly a little disappointed that it didn't display the IBM logo. Many times, their engineers stated that the 132 was a very important asset to meeting the challenges they faced. Wow!, looking back, we have come a long way since those days.
