My grandfather, Emit U. Myers, used to make batches of Taylor's Ointment in a converted circa 1900 washing machine. He always told us he knew the formula but when the company was sold he was sworn not to reveal it to anyone and he kept that oath until his death. I have a bottle of the ointment in my medicine cabinet. When the oil was combined with Vaseline petroleum jelly it was sold as well. I used to have an original jar of the salve but my wife accidently dropped it breaking it in several pieces. Taylor's Oil was the only medicine my mother used as a child. My brother, sister, and I have used it throughout our lives and it has fantastic healing properties. I wish I still had the original jar my wife dropped.
