Description:

Wooden box containing a surgical saw with an ebony handle, and a bone forceps, both marked “Wade & Ford / New York.” The bistoury has an ebony handle but no inscription. George Wade and William E. Ford were in business in the 1860s, importing and manufacturing surgical and dental instruments.
