Surgical Set

Description:

Folding leather pocket case with a metal snap, and a partial label marked “Baltimore.” The set contains a curette, a knife, a curved bistourie, a scalpel, a bistourie, a pair of scissors, a tweezers forceps, a five-piece catheter set, and two packages of silk surgeon's thread. Several of the instruments are stamped with the Kny-Scheerer Company logo. The label on one pack of surgeon's silk reads “Corticelli / Twisted Surgeon's Silk / No. 7 / The Kny Scheerer Co., New York". That on the other reads "Surgeon's / Pure Silk, Warranted / No. 6 / Fayette MFG Co., / Baltimore, Md."
