Surgical Set


Set of surgical instruments with ivory handles, and a “D. W. KOLBE / MANUFACTURERS OF / SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS / … ARCH STREET / PHILADA.” inscription on the inside lid of the wooden box. Dietrich W. Kolbe was a cutler who trained in Paris and Germany, and worked in Philadelphia from 1856 until his death in 1878.
