Description:

The obverse of this bronze medal has an image of ancient physician (presumably Hippocrates). The reverse has “1ER CONGRESO / ARGENTINO / BRONCOSOESOFAGOLOGIA / CHEVALIER JACKSON / ALTA GRACIA / CORDOBA/ 12-13 DICEMBRE 1947.” Chevalier L. Jackson (1865-1958) invented the bronchoscope. His son, Chevalier L. Jackson (1900-1961), was also a physician.
