Geometric Model by A. Harry Wheeler, Equilateral Triangle Transformable into a Rhombus (Portion), Plane Dissection


Objects MA.304723.752 and MA.304723.758 together consititute a hinged dissection with six pieces. The three pieces of MA.304723.752 may be arranged as an equilateral triangle or a quadrilateral. The three pieces of MA.304723.758 may be arranged as an equilateral triangle or a triangle. Together, the pieces may be arranged as a rhombus or a larger equilateral triangle.

This (the two objects together) is Wheeler's model 6TF, Two equilateral triangles to one equlateral triangle. A drawing of the dissection is in 1979.3002.55, folder 2, dated March 29, 1932.
