Spectacles and Case


Mary LaFollette (1901-1988), the donor of these spectacles, was born in Madison, Wisc., and lived for many years in Washington, D.C. She was a daughter of “Fighting Bob” LaFollette, and sister of Senator Robert M. LaFollette. She worked as an editor with the Aeronautical Standards Group of the Air Force Department (later U.S. Air Force), and also as an artist.
