Fishing vest worn by Tom Christerson, the second recipient of the AbioCor Total Artificial Heart. George Pantalos, a member of the Jewish Hospital Surgical team that implanted the AbioCor into Mr. Christerson in 2001, modified the vest to accommodate the external battery pack and cables enabling the patient to move about more freely.
