The obverse of this medal shows two women in classical garb, with symbols of industry and “CINCINNATI INDUSTRIAL / EXPOSITION.” The reverse has “BOARD OF TRADE · CHAMBER OF COMMERCE · OHIO MECHANICS INSTITUTE” and “AWARDED / TO / John H. Lloyd / FOR / Fine & Rare / Chemicals / 1875.” John Uri Lloyd (1849-1936) was a pharmacist and leader of the eclectic medical movement in the United States.
