Alternating current motor

Description (Brief):

Marked: "#50" painted on side. This specimen has eight field coils affixed under the circular frame. A three phase armature is utilized with appropriate ship rings and brush attachment. A drive wheel is affixed to the end of the armature shaft. Four binding post terminals are located on top of the motor frame. Copper strip brushes are used; the rigging is bent and in need of repair.
