"44" painted on frame. Description: Direct current motor with direct coupling arrangement at one end of armature shaft - oil feed cup for bearing. Commutator with four 2-brush sets coupled to variable output control. Screws adjust brush tension. Commutator end of shaft has oil feed cup for bearing. Cables lead from brushes to terminal posts on frame. Motor has four field coils. Control box supplied with motor.
