National bank note proof of the German American National Bank of Redfield, South Dakota. Charter 8125. $5-5-5-5, 1906. The portrait on the left is Benjamin Harrison, twenty-third President of the United States. His grandfather was also President and his father was a member of the House of Representatives. This bank was chartered in February 16, 1906. During World War I, it changed its name to American National Bank of Redfield on February 14, 1918. It went into receivership December 12, 1930. There are no large size notes known among collectors for this bank for its first title. There are four large-size and five small-size notes for the second title known among collectors.
