Description:

The inscription stamped on the base of this manometer reads “L. E. Knott Apparatus Co. Boston.” The firm, which was established in 1895, termed it a “Moveable Scale Manometer” designed “to determine the degree of exhaustion in experiments in Pneumatics.”
