Symmetrical scroll-patterned andiron with four rows of opposing S and C scrolls narrowing to a banded, brass ball finial. Hollow-back, flask-cast upright with square mortise on reverse for the stepped billet bar with scrolled log stop. No marks. Back end of billet bar broken and repaired. One of a pair, DL*391817A-B.
