This set of drawing instruments has twelve pieces contained in a folding case. The case is covered with black leatherette, lined with green velveteen, and closes with two metal snaps. It is marked “860” next to the snap on the right side of the case.
The set includes:
1) Compass with adjustable leg, marked WEBER/GERMANY, 1cm x 13.3cm.
2) Dividers, marked WEBER/GERMANY, 1cm x 13.5cm.
3) Extension leg for compass, marked WEBER/GERMANY, 1cm x 8.7cm.
4) Metal capsule containing one sharp pencil lead, .5cm x 3.4cm.
5) Metal capsule containing five spare parts, 1.1cm x 4.8cm.
6) Pen point, marked WEBER/GERMANY, .8cm x 5 cm.
7) Ruling pen handle, .4cm x 8cm
8) Ruling pen, marked WEBER/GERMANY, .8cm x 13cm.
9) Metal capsule with cream-colored cap containing nine pieces of lead, marked DIETZGEN/No3165-H/GERMANY, .7cm x 3.8cm.
10) Ringhead bow dividers with side thumbscrew, marked WEBER/GERMANY, .8cm x 9.2cm.
11) Ringhead bow compass with side thumbscrew, marked WEBER/GERMANY, .8cm x 9cm,
12) Ringhead bow pen with side thumbscrew, marked WEBER/GERMANY, .8cm x 9cm
The instruments were sold by F. Weber and Company, which had its headquarters in Philadelphia. They were made in Germany.
