Chalice

Description:

Covered handless cup with small inverted bell-shaped bowl on a tall pedestal base with vase-and-spool stem and flared, double-domed foot with beading around top and a cable or ropework band at middle. Bell-domed cover with urn finial wrigglework engraved with an undulating band in the wide rim and the script letters "C.F.B." just inside of it. Underside of base incised with a cross over "R" near edge. No other marks on cup or cover.
