Standing Cup

Bright cut, hollow egg with gold interiors made in two friction-fit parts that open near the middle and screw together at their outside ends to form a double-ended standing cup. The larger bottom part of the egg, which doubles as cup, is inscribed "TBM / from his / Godfather." in conjoined foliate and regular script, while the smaller top part, which functions as stand, has a circular patch inside at bottom covering its threaded hole. Bottom part is unmarked; top part is struck with four, indecipherable, partial marks inside collar.
