Cash Box


Rectangular lidded box with key lock on front, brass post-and-bail handle on stamped top, and two hinges at back. Exterior and interior are japanned black with a yellow border around the raised, cyma bracketed rectangle across lid and with gilt penciling or striping around the lid and box edges. Lid and box are made of five pieces, their sides held together by wire rims and the lid top and flat box bottom folded onto sides. Small pieces of blue felt near bottom of interior. No marks. No key.
