Circular container with friction-fit, flat cover ornamented by applied scrollwork at edge from which are suspended swags of floral garlands and four, winged putti placed equidistantly with feet towards center, two facing forward and two turned left; gold washed interior. Plain container stamped as one piece with projecting bead at base and indented bottom. Container is struck incuse on bottom underside "SHREVE&CO" above "SAN FRANCISCO", "MAKERS", "925-100" and "STERLING", all in sans serif letters.
