Back Our Girls over There

Description:

One of many jobs available to women during the war was a switchboard operator. Known as the "Hello Girls" 450 women were stationed in 75 locations throughout France. Although not officially part of the Army, the members of the Signal Corps Female Telephone Operators Unit swore the Oath of Allegiance and were expected to follow Army rules and regulations.
