Robb & Mundy Square Piano

Description (Brief):

This square piano was made by Robb & Mundy in New York, New York about 1824. Edward N. Mundy and Alickam (or Elickim) T. Robb were in partnership from 1822 to 1828, first at 154 Fulton Street and in 1828 at 641 Greenwich Street. After that date, both Robb and Mundy continued for a time independently as piano makers in New York, while Mundy remained at the Greenwich Street address. This piano has a compass of FF-c4, jack action with escapement, leather hammers, double-strings throughout, with tuning pins on the right, 1 pedal: dampers, wood frame, and a wood case.
