Hank or skein of raw silk, "inferior Tsatlee" quality, as reeled in China and imported into the US. One of 15 samples donated in 1884 by C. Adolphe Low & Co., NYC, of raw silk as imported by the firm. Catalog #s H6180-6194 Both object tags read: "China inferior (???) / 6193 / acc 14,993", and card reads: "Raw silk, inferior tsatlee-- A common China silk, in hanks as imported. / Gift of C. Adolphe Low & Co. / 6,193 / New York".
