Fred Foster Basketball Card


This Fred Foster basketball card is number 56 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1973-1974 NBA season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Detroit Pistons forward. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Fred is solid on Defense,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.

Foster played for five teams during his eight-year professional career. From 1968 to 1975, Foster played for the Cincinnati Royals, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, and Cleveland Cavaliers. After not playing in the 1975-76 season, Foster returned for one final year in the NBA with the Buffalo Braves for the 1976-77 season.
