Description:

This sheet music is for the song “Slaying the Deer.” The song was written and composed by Samuel Love and published by Firth, Hall, and Pond of New York, New York in 1847. The cover features an upper image of hunters and hounds chasing a deer, and a lower image of a man and woman riding together in a sleigh, which is all framed in a floral design.
