Description:

Relief plaque of Joseph Lister (1827-1912), the British surgeon who appreciated the practical application of the bacteriological researches of Pasteur, and put them into practice. This was created by Doris Leavitt Appel (1904-1995), a sculptor in Lynn, Mass.
