Dental Plate


This may be the patent model for Asa Hill, “Improved Composition Dental Plate,” U.S. Patent 93086 (July 27, 1869). Asa Hill (1816-1874) was a graduate of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the first president of the Connecticut Dental Association, a resident of Norwalk, Ct., and the inventor of Hill’s Stopping, a plastic material for temporary fillings.
