Thermometer

Description:

The firm of Schaeffer & Budenberg, established in Prussia in 1850, made thermometers, pressure gauges, etc. The American Schaeffer & Budenberg firm was formed in 1923. The inscriptions on the metal frame of this instrument read “CRESCENT” and “AMERICAN / S&B / CORP / BROOKLYN / N.Y.” The thermometric scale reads from 170 to 270 degrees F.
