A.V. Suvorov Centennial of Death Medalette, Jeton, Russia


This medal was commissioned to honor the 100-year anniversary of the death of A. V. Suvorov. Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov was a Russian general cherished by Russians as a national war hero in campaigns against the Ottoman Empire and in Poland. He was born in Moscow in 1730 and died in St. Petersburg on May 18, 1800.
