Description (Brief):

Swan keyless lamp socket, about 1882. Swan side-mounted hook & loop base with spring-loaded platform to hold tension on the lamp, brass-ring mount connector. Wood body, lamp held in place by the side-mounted springs. No extant maker's marks.
