LaLanne often created public displays of strength and endurance to show people that eating healthy and staying fit was a benefit to a long life. Beginning in the 1930s, Jack LaLanne developed a variety of exercise routines and equipment which he brought to the American public though his television shows and public appearances. LaLanne continued to share his love of fitness until his death in 2011.
