Small circular plate or saucer with plain rim and flat well; no foot ring. Five marks on underside, a crowned "X" stamped incuse above four pseudo hallmarks (left to right): a rooster facing left in shield, "B&P" in raised serif letters between horizontal bands in an octagon, a lion's head erased in shield, and a rooster facing right in shield. Maker is Bush & Perkins (Robert Bush I and Richard Perkins); in partnership, 1771-1781, in Bristol and Bitton, England. Produced and sold pewter wares for domestic use and export.
