Small circular plate or saucer with plain rim and flat well; no foot ring. Six marks on underside, a crowned "X" stamped incuse above four pseudo hallmarks (left to right): "B&P" in raised serif letters between horizontal bands in an octagon, Britannia seated in a rectangle, a lion's head erased in round shield, and a Tudor rose in clipped-corner square; "LONDON" in large, raised serif letters in rectangle below. Maker is Bush & Perkins (Robert Bush I and Richard Perkins); in partnership, 1771-1781, in Bristol and Bitton, England. Produced and sold pewter wares for domestic use and export.
