Four elliptical electromagnet field coils are symmetrically arranged around a rotating central armature. Pole pieces are curved and arranged horizontally above and below shaft. Four carbon brushes are used in an adjustable rigging. One brush is missing and one adjusting screw mount is bent back. Dynamo built between 1886 and 1888.
