Louis XIV-style, gilt-bronze andiron or chenet featuring a lion rampant with long, curly mane standing facing the viewer's right atop an S-scrolled platform with a C-scroll reserve at right and a square plinth at left. Constructed of multiple, cast parts screwed together. Right-angled bracket on reverse fits into slot of separate billet bar, DL*329491C or D. No marks.
