Louis XV-style, gilt-bronze andiron or chenet featuring a putto bedecked with rose garlands on his head and body, seated on the right side of a scrollwork structure rising up to the left. He holds up roses in his right hand and looks down to his left or the viewer's right. Constructed of multiple, cast parts screwed together.
