Banded-ball-and-multiknopped andiron with small ball finial and pulvinated hexagonal pedestal on compressed-ball base atop lapped and spurred cabriole legs ending in creased snake feet on platforms; cast brass billet bar cover ends in scallops behind the matching log-stop. Two-part upright, both parts hollow cast and vertically seamed. Hollow-cast legs are unfinished on back. All parts held together by an internal iron rod threaded at top and peened at bottom.
